The Flower School is a very popular and successful workshop based in Derbyshire. Running in various venues throughout The Peak District, you are welcome to join at any time in the year. The lessons are relaxed and informal, aimed both at beginners and those who have more experience. A demonstration is provided followed by helpful tuition and tips so that you can make your own arrangement to take home each week.
Classes are of mixed abilities so please do not be put off if you haven’t done any floristry before. Beginners find they come on very quickly, especially surrounded by people of all levels of experience.
The classes run for 10 months of the year (excluding January and August) from 6.30pm till 8.30pm. The cost is £12.50 per 2 hour class, you are welcome to come and try and pay for 1 class to see if you like it before you commit to the year. You will need to bring your own flowers but you are given a lot of advice on what to bring to each class.
Classes are currently running at
The War Memorial Institute, Ashford in the Water, Derbyshire – 2nd Tuesday of the month
Bakewell, Derbyshire – pending awaiting confirmation of venue
Spring Bank Arts, New Mills, Derbyshire – 2nd Monday of the month
